Kidz Rock Live

Kidz Rock Live at the VFW was an absolute success! Over 100 children and parents came from several towns in the surrounding area. This was a free event for the kids! Put on by HDEYM and sponsored by several local organizations including Hail Digital Entertainment, Sweet Apple Theatre, Dream Studios, La Chic Bebe and Aribelle. Kidz Rock Live was a great family event!

The Event

The event had everything you could imagine including, face painting, body art, arts and crafts, a dance competition and more! We had the largest game of musical chairs in what felt like VFW history! We also had a live DJ spinning all the new Kidz Bop! There was a red carpet walkway and giant backdrop with a costume/prop table for all types of fun filled picture taking. The event ran from 2pm – 5pm on a Sunday afternoon in late May.

 

Volunteer Thanks

Thank you to all our sponsors! Hail Digital supplied the DJ, the red carpet and back drop. They also donated over $500 for the day which helped pay for the hall, the food, door prizes, etc. Sweet Apple Theatre Company, owned by Traci Antil, donated her time and face and body paint supplies as she marked up the kids wonderfully! Thank you Traci! Scott Ross the owner of Dream Studios was on site providing some cool dance move lessons which really got the kids up and moving. Thanks Scott!

La Chic Be Be and Arribelle were also present as they had their clothing lines on display. They also donated a pretty nifty door prize! Thanks Courtney! Sherri Navarro volunteered her time and experience to take photos and capture the event! Last, but very not least, thank you to the Tam Family for donating their time to run the food counter!
